How to Properly Fix a Forklift Into a 20OT Container — FLIFT Loading Procedure

Date: 2025-11-03 View:

How FLIFT Secures Forklifts Safely Inside Containers for Overseas Shipping

When we ship forklifts to customers around the world, one of the most important parts of the process is securing the machines safely inside the container. A good fixing method prevents movement, protects the equipment, and ensures every unit arrives in perfect condition after long-distance sea transport.

How to Fix the Forklift into a 20OT Container?

Many customers ask us this question, especially when they plan to receive multiple units or heavy-duty models:

“How do you fix the forklift into a 20OT container?”

The answer is simple — we follow a strict and professional securing procedure to keep the forklift stable and safe during the entire journey.

Below is the method shown in the photo.

Our Standard Fixing Procedure

Solid Wooden Base Support and Full Protective Wrapping

We place strong wooden blocks under the forklift or attachments to distribute weight and reduce sliding on the container floor.

The forklift is fully wrapped to prevent scratches, moisture, and dust during shipping. This helps the machine stay clean and protected.

Heavy-Duty Ratchet Straps

Industrial ratchet straps are used to tie the forklift directly to the container’s built-in lashing points. These straps provide firm and reliable tension.

Diagonal Cross-Locking Method

The straps are fixed diagonally from the forklift chassis to the container hooks.

This “X-shape” locking method prevents movement in all directions — forward, backward, and sideways.

Wooden Wedges for Extra Stability

We add wooden wedges around the wheels or base.

This further stops the forklift from sliding during shipping or handling.
